Tuesday 30th March 2010 36th AGM

There was an excellent attendance at the 36th AGM held at Ashwood Marina Social Club last Tuesday. This was followed by a fish and chip supper from the excellent chip shop in Wallheath and a bring and buy sale of nautical books and boat bits and bobs.

Everyone agreed that all our the speakers this year have been excellent and the club continues to thrive.

New members are always welcome and the new committee meets on April 13th to begin planning for the new season in October. Watch this space!

Tuesday 16th March 2010 Trevor Skeates Inside India

Trevor Skeates and his wife Debbie took us on a trip 'Inside India' - a trip they made in 1993.  They had 'backpacked' around central India and had lovely memories and photographs of what was clearly a very enjoyable experience for them.

Tuesday 2nd March Barry Corlett & Andrew Tooby

Last night we were entertained by two of our own members. Barry Corlett had lovely photos and memories of his trip to the Scilly Isles last summer - he and Heather had had a 'swell' time (thanks to the Atlantic Ocean effect)!
Andrew Tooby took us to Brittany around Morbihan and some of the lovely inlets and anchorages. His experience and knowledge of this sailing area is quite extensive.
It certainly made us think of the summer to come and dream of sunny shores to visit.
