Last Tuesday Brian Hammett gave us a fascinating insight into the life of Arthur Ransome the author of the well known series of children's books "Swallows and Amazons".  Brian told us how he had discovered an original, unpublished manuscript by Arthur; written just after his second marriage to Evgenia (a former secretary of Trotsky). Tuesday 3rd Novemebr Alan Birch - A Cruise to the Baltic

Alan Birch gave members a very informative and interesting talk about his trip to the Baltic to join the Cruising Association Rally there in 2008.  Alan had said he didn't have much material but clearly a great deal of thought and preparation had gone in to pass on so many good tips and 'lessons learned'.
