Tuesday 5th February - Ron Morgan Half sell up and sail

Having had to cancel our second meeting in January due to bad weather it was nice to be back in better weather.

It must be everyone's dream to sell up and head south towards the sun! Ron and Sue showed us the other option: to half sell up. Spend the winter months at home and the better weather in the sun living that dream. Tuesday 17th January 2012 Jonathan Eddy Pymouth to Lagos

Last Tuesday we were treated to a delightful talk by Jonatham Eddy about the Rally Portugal aboard his Hallberg Rassy 43 "Avalon" a wonderful safe boat that looks after you well. He, his wife Jackie and their crew set off south to find some sun in Southern Portugal. The Trip was so well organised by the World Cruising Club that he recommended to everyone heading that way this is the best way to do it: all the hassle of the port admin etc is done for you leaving you to enjoy the sailing.  A tr...
