Wednesday 14th November Trip to Liverpool

Following on from our trip to Bristol last year this week we went up to Liverpool. There's so much to see and do in Liverpool that we were spoilt for choice! Being nautical types most of us ended up in the Maritime museum which includes a lot of information about the Titanic. The Slavery Museum also proved popular. We also filled up one of the 'Ducks' and and a had superb trip through the centre of Liverpool culminating in a 'splash down' and trip round the docks!

Wednesday 16th November ss Great Britain

On Wednesday we had a trip to Bristol to visit Brunel's ss Great Britain. This is the first time in a long time that we have travelled as a group and our grateful thanks to Paul for organising the day which went exceptionally well from start to finish.

The ship and the museum is well worth a visit and indeed worth stopping over in Bristol. The replica of John Cabot's Matthew was moored alongside and with boat trips round the water docks/marina there's plenty to do and see.
